The influence of political regimes on the level of digitalization in the state

The scientific article examines the issues of the influence of various political regimes on the level of digitalization of states. The existing political regimes are investigated, their brief characteristics are given. An assessment of the spread of digitalization in authoritarian and democratic states has been carried out. Authoritarian states develop anti-Internet measures and, consequently, restrictive policies. It is concluded that the more authoritarian a country is, the stronger the impact of income on the expansion of the Internet. The authors concluded that the global digital divide is the result of differences in the levels of external communication, socio-economic development and public policy.
