The effect of environmental releases on the hydrological regime of the Irtysh river within the territory of Pavlodar region of the Republic of Kazakhstan

The article deals with the dynamics of environmental water releases for the period 1964-2014 years and the impact of changes in the hydrological regime of the Irtysh River floodplain ecosystems. There are results of evaluation of changes of natural and anthropogenic origin to the average monthly flow of transboundary Irtysh River within the Republic of Kazakhstan for the period 1903-2010 in terms of water use and intensification of modern climate change. It is shown as flow control of the Upper Irtysh cascade of reservoirs has led to a significant change in the hydrological regime of the Irtysh and the anthropogenic modification of floodplain geosystems.
