The impact of workplace factors on employees’ working environment

It has been determined that an important indicator of the social well-being of the population is employee health protection, which includes an assessment of the working conditions of those employed, the peculiarities of the impact of harmful industrial factors on health. The theoretical significance of the paper is revealed in the historical aspect of the formation of scientific views on workplace hygiene, as well as in the study of the institutionalisation of labour protection in Russia. The study is based on a statistical analysis of the indicators of harmful production factors for 2019, during which it is established that the maximum number of people employed in jobs with hazardous working conditions is recorded in the field of mining, agriculture and forestry, and water supply. Employees are most affected by labour process factors (labour severity), as well as physical and chemical workplace factors.
