The influence of industrial cluster structures on the economic security of the region

The article examines the role of industrial clusters in the economic security of the region. The author summarizes the main approaches to the issues of clustering of various scientific schools. The article confirms that modern competition policy considers the cluster as a new tool positively affecting the economic security of the region. An analysis of the Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Cluster of the Kaliningrad Region made it possible to understand its effectiveness. The article also discusses a system for assessing the effectiveness of a cluster’s activities under conditions of sanction pressure. The author proposes the methodology for calculating the economic security coefficient of the cluster effectiveness. These calculations allow us to understand the degree of the Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Cluster efficiency and assess its impact on the economic development and economic security of the region.
