Effect of different pharmacological agents on the surface charge of erythrocyte membranes

The influence of some pharmacological agents on erythrocyte membrane surface charge in rats erythrocytes was investigated. It was shown that arachidonic acid, prostaglandin E2, Lipoksin B, finoptin and triftazin increase the electrophoretic mobility of red blood cells. Aspirin and indomethacin reduce the electrophoretic mobility of erythrocytes due to prostaglandins blockade.
