The influence of revolutionary events in Russia in 1917 on the formation of the Weimar Republic

This article is devoted to the problem of the historical heritage of the Great Russian revolution, diffusion of the concept of European social democracy and the ideology of Bolshevism. In modern domestic and German historiography remains controversial question of the impact of political entity “Soviets” on the general development of the left movement in the first half of the twentieth century. The analysis of the characteristic features of the political and legal system of the Weimar Republic, the features of the model of “socialist democracy” allows us to conclude about the relationship of the ideas of the Russian revolution and the lack of a vector of natural consolidation of the German left movement.
