Influence of resonances in ship hull, in ship structures and in compartments on noise in outer water

Influence of resonant phenomena on ship noise in outer water is studied experimentally. Experiments are carried out on large-scale model of a ship. The results of experiments on influence of resonant phenomena in ship hull, in internal ship structures and in ship compartments are analyzed. It is shown that resonant phenomena should be taken into account when noise control measures are designed in order to decrease noise in water caused by ship engines and equipment.
