Influence of systemically important banks on the level of financial market development in some countries: focus on the Republic of Belarus

The experience of different countries has shown that the advent of systemically important banks into a country has a positive impact on the quality, width and availabity of financial services. It also increases the development level of the financial market. The article analyses the level of the banking systems development in some countries and the advent of the systemically important banks to the financial markets. The author provides guidelines on improvement of the level of financial market development in the Republic of Belarus.
