Impact of state socio-economic assistance on the demographic behavior of the modern Russian family

The relevance of the study is due to the need for scientific understanding, as well as competent organization and implementation of state socio-economic assistance to the modern family in Russia to overcome crisis demographic trends in society. The aim of the study is to examine changes in the behavioral pattern of the modern Russian family under the influence of socio-economic assistance from the state and to elaborate recommendations for its improvement. The novelty of the study lies in the substantiation of the fact that state socioeconomic assistance in the changing socio-cultural conditions in Russia continues to be one of the key factors that have a real, but at the same time contradictory impact on various aspects of the demographic behavior of the family (fertility, marriage, divorce, migration). It is concluded that, in combination with a set of measures to protect and promote traditional family values, such assistance can stimulate the reproductive behavior of the family, as well as prevent and eliminate negative trends in its marital and migration behavior (including in the conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic). Recommendations for improving state socio-economic assistance to the family in order to optimize the demographic situation in society as a whole are offered.
