The HIV / AIDS epidemic in the world continues to develop at a rapid pace. HIV infection is spreading more and more among women. Diseases of HIV infection in children are mainly due to vertical transmission of HIV from mother to child. Regional differences in the prevalence of HIV infection are associated with differences in a number of socioeconomic indicators in the regions. In the North Caucasus region, the number of newly diagnosed HIV-infected patients is growing rapidly every year. In Karachaevo-Cherkessia, the HIV situation also continues to deteriorate yearly. A study was made of the impact of a complex of environmental factors (natural, ecological, socio-economic) on the incidence of HIV infection at the regional level (KCR). Correlation links between environmental factors and the level of morbidity have been studied, which may allow developing new approaches to their prevention. The study reflects the approach to the theory of the emergence and manifestation of socially significant diseases.
