What determines mineral density of skeletal bones in children and in adults? This question is raised by the authors of this review for the first time. The effect of somatotype, body mass and also mass of some tissues - muscular, connective and fatty - for skeletal mineral density production is analyzed. The problem of dependence of mineral density of bone on the force of pressure exerting on the bone by some muscles is considered. The ways of further studies on this problem are outlined.
