Influence of the primary soil treatment on the productivity of the winter rapeseed - winter wheat crop rotation

The systems of the primary soil treatment in crop rotation winter rapeseed - winter wheat were studied in stationary experiment at VNIIMK in 2007-2010. In the arid autumn conditions, the highest yield of winter rapeseed seeds (2.47-2.54 t ha-1) and oil yield (1.03-1.15 t ha-1) are formed by the intensive primary soil treatment (moldboard plowing, bastard fallow), and in the favorable weather conditions of autumn, - by the shallow and intensive soil treatments (4.34, 4.23 and 1.69, 1.64 t ha-1, respectively). The highest yield of winter wheat (5.23-6.70 t ha-1) and productivity of crop rotation including these crops (10.72 t seed units ha-1) is formed by the intensive system of primary soil treatment. Deep shallow, subsurface and surface soil treatments promote the reduction of winter rape- seed on 8-20%, winter wheat - on 2-16% and overall productivity of the link - on 7-9%.
