For working out of receptions of cultivation and use Astragalus galegiformis on seeds in southern forest-steppe of Western Siberia features of growth and development, formation of herbage of culture, its relation to environment factors are revealed. In researches field and laboratory methods are used. The article presents the facts on the study of nine terms of sowing Astragalus galegiformis in Western Siberia. This one is perennial leguminous grassy plant, it’s characterized by good biological plasticity along with high productivity and ecological stability. The best conditions for the formation of herbage and maximize the yield of seeds are for sowing culture of early spring with the May 5-15. At the same time marked by increased the field germination of seeds. Plants are well preserved and spent the winter. Seed yield at this stage of sowing on average 758-799 kg/ha. Astragalus galegiformis effectively use the solar radiation to generate organic matter, but during the growing season with various productivity: in the phase of stem culture efficiency of photosynthetically active radiation reached 3,6%, in the phase of buds or in blossom - 4,5-6,1%, that is connected with high foliage plants (46-77%). Lower leaves fall down after the start of bloom which reduced efficiency of photosynthetically active radiation in the fruiting phase to 5,1%. Germination energy and laboratory germination were relatively low on average for years of research 11-18 and 28-36% respectively, weight of 1000 seeds was 12,3-12,6 g. Hard seeds of Astragalus formed during cultivation provides poor germination. Astragalus galegiformis they had 80-90% of the total weight when fully ripe, because this plant is introduced from the wild flora. Astragalus seeds germinate better from the upper part the inflorescentia, from the lower part they have a heavy coating and begin to germinate only after scarification. Between germination and seed weight of 1000 seeds there was a strong direct correlation (r = 0,92 ± 0,05).
