The article is devoted to the research of the external control locus development factors in juvenile offenders. The author reveals the types of wrong upbringing in the families of juvenile offenders and provides data on the impact of hyperprotection, high demand-prohibition levels and the strictness of sanctions on the development of the human-conditioned externality. The development of the chance-conditioned externality is influenced by ignoring the juvenile offender's needs by his or her parents
