The study was conducted on the basis of the kennel club and kennel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Udmurt Republic in Izhevsk (Udmurt Republic). 12 clinically healthy German Shepherd dogs were examined. 5 dogs belonged to private owners, 7 animals belonged to the kennel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Used methods: electrocardiography and phonocardiography. Dogs were examined before and after a 6-minute functional test in order to study the features of the electrical and phonographic activity of the German Shepherd dog’s heart. The results of the study showed that after the load, the average value of the duration of the P wave increased by 0.01 sec, the average value of the PQ interval decreased by 0.01 sec, the average duration of the QRS complex increased by 0.01 sec, an increase in the average value of ST segment depression by 0.03 mV, a decrease in the average value of ST segment elevation by 0.08 mV, a decrease in the average value of b.p.m. by 1.2 beats/min, an increase in the duration of the 1st tone (S1) by 0.01 sec, a decrease in the duration of the second tone (S2) by 0.02 sec. The average value of the amplitude of the P wave, the duration of the QT interval, the Q-1 tone, the splitting of both tones (S1 and S2) and the total duration of the systole after the functional test were unchanged. Pathological heart tones and other obvious signs of severe heart pathologies were not detected.
