Influence of the model type of 18,4R-38 tire size on energy and dynamic indicators of the multipurpose power system of 1,4 traction class as a part of machine and tractor units

Increasing the performance of any machine-tractor unit depends largely on its operating speed and width, which implies the use of mobile power equipment with high traction and energy performance at the lowest level of dynamic processes in the links of the machine and tractor unit. For a wheeled mobile power vehicle, the achievement of high traction and energy performance are determined by the properties of the tires of the driving wheels. The purpose of the research: to determine the energy and dynamic performance of a cultivator unit based on a wheeled mobile power vehicle of 1,4 traction class when its drive wheels are equipped with tires of 18,4R-38 size from various manufacturers. As a result of field tests of cultivator units based on a wheeled mobile power vehicle of 1.4 traction class, it was found that when tractor propellers were equipped with VL-32 tire size (at an intra-tire pressure of 0,11 MPa), in comparison TM300S and 206B tires there has been greater load by 1,50% and 3,30% of the power plant, an increase by 2,65% and 8,30% of the unit's productivity with a 2,7% and 6,8% lower fuel consumption for processing one hectare, respectively. With a decrease in pressure in the tire of VL-32 model to 0.08 MPa, which is not recommended by manufacturers for other models, the unit showed even higher traction and energy performance. The statistical analysis of the data obtained from field tests of the cultivator unit showed that when tires of VL-32 model were installed on the tractor propellers of 1,4 traction class, the technological process of continuous cultivation was carried out with the smallest range of fluctuations of the studied parameters. With an intra-tire pressure in VL-32 tires of 0,08 MPa, the dynamic loads in the links of machine and tractor units are reduced, which will affect the quality of work, and a decrease in vertical and horizontal accelerations of the tractor frame will improve the working conditions of operators.
