Impact of sunflower seed traumatizing and seed treatment on it sowing and yield qualities

OIL CROPS. Scientific bulletin. VNIIMK, 2006, iss. 1 (134). The impact of sunflower seed traumatizing types and levels on it sowing and yield qualities is studied. The most optimal method of estimation of traumatized seeds is determined; classification of achene traumatizing is developed. Traumatized seeds are more infectious in comparison with visually non-traumatized. Seed treatment of traumatized sunflower seeds promoted not only the preservation of sowing qualities but also sufficiently increased the seeds yield and oil yield from unit area.
