Impact of tourist flows on the Belgorod city development as urban destination

The rapid development of tourism in XXI century has led to the need to introduce measures to regulate tourist flows. Modern cities with their complex structure and process dynamics are an important part of the tourist space, which has become especially attractive for travelers studying cultural and historical heritage. Urban tourism is multifaceted and requires a city-wide strategy with cooperation among all stakeholders and the inclusion of tourism in the urban agenda. In order to assess the threat of overturism to Belgorod, it is necessary to analyze the levels of existing anthropogenic load on the historical and cultural heritage of the region and recreational territories. In terms of overturism problems, it is advisable to actively develop alternative types of recreation, which will undoubtedly contribute to reducing anthropogenic load in areas of concentration of cultural heritage objects.
