The impact of foreign economic sanctions on the labor market of the Novosibirsk region

The article presents a study of the labor market of the Novosibirsk region during the beginning of the sanctions policy (2022). The analysis was carried out using data from the Novosibirsk State Statistics Service and the Ministry of Labor and Social Development of the Novosibirsk Region. In the process of research and calculations, a set of general scientific (comparison, analysis) and private methods of cognition (graphical, computational-constructive and economic-statistical) was used. The peculiarities of the demand and supply in the labor market of the region in dynamics since 2018 have been studied, the structure of employment of the population by type of activity has been determined. The measures taken to reduce the unemployment rate and defuse tension in the field of employment in the Novosibirsk region during the period of foreign economic sanctions are outlined. The practical aspect of the study is revealed based on the assessment of the impact of such restrictions on the personnel potential of the region.
