Impact of external economic sanctions on investment activities and projects of enterprises in the Perm region

The impact of external sanctions has been assessed through the analysis of investment activities, key economic activities of the Perm region, as well as investment projects of PJSC «Uralkali» and PJSC «Metafrax» implemented on the territory of the region. The quantitative and qualitative interpretation of the data revealed that the Perm region is oriented towards manufacturing activities that depends on external sanctions marginally The main effect of the sanctions on enterprises is restrictions on the use of foreign investment, equipment and technology. However, the Perm region is an attractive investment area.
