The influence of zonal ecogeographical conditions of reproduction of early ripening soybean varieties on their sowing qualities and productivity of plants in the Vologda region

Conducted in 2010-2013 in the conditions of the Vologda region the comparative testing of seeds of local and southern (Krasnodar) reproduction of early ripening soybean varieties Kasatka, Svetlaya and SibNIIK 315 showed the distinct advantage of the former over latter according to their sowing qualities and production potential. The field germination of Vologda seeds was by 2.0-2.2 times higher, the seedlings appeared faster and more uniform, the growth season of soybean decreased by 3-6 days, the seed productivity of crops increased by 27-40 % in comparison with the seeds grown in Krasnodar. The sowing qualities of seeds in terms of viability and laboratory germination in an aftereffect from the seeds of the Vologda reproduction improved by 2-22 % in comparison with Krasnodar seeds.
