Implementation of digital technologies as a mechanism for increasing export volumes in the regions of the Russian Federation

Modern trends in the socio-economic development are inextricably linked with the consequences of the industrial revolution 4.0 of the early XXI century. Thus, innovative technologies are being introduced into all life support processes, including sectors such as public administration, trade and finance. In the current aftermath, the COVID-2019 pandemic, comprehensive support for export activities through the introduction of digital tools will greatly simplify the entry of entrepreneurs into the international market, as a result, it will increase the indicators of foreign trade turnover and the competitiveness of both the country as a whole and its individual regions in international markets. The scientific novelty of the research is the investigation and analysis of the uneven digital transformation processes of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, which is a barrier in the implementation of state initiatives for the export activities development. The main purpose of the survey is to develop proposals for creating digital development strategies of Russian regions and the introduction innovative technologies that will increase the volume of export products. As part of the research work, the following tasks were performed: the most significant subjects were identified by the level of socio-economic development, the main indicators of digital transformation were identified, their own rating of the digital development of regions was created using the taxonometric method, and key areas of activity of the least developed regions were identified for the possibility of implementing international experience in digitalization of export activities.
