The authors of the article consider the main reasons for the decrease in qualitative indicators of track distance activity, analyze the system of personnel career management and find its restrictions related to the age of staff. As measures to solve the problem of the enterprise, it is proposed to give the opportunity to "mature" workers to show their skill as a result of a competitive test, which will increase the qualification of workers and stimulate the labor activity of the team.
