The article discusses the features of the implementation of the quality management system in the organization of the energy complex as a means of increasing competitiveness. Increasing the competitiveness of Russian energy companies and the desire to enter international markets is accompanied by an increase in interest in the implementation of a quality management system based on international ISO standards. In this regard, the electric power industry has developed a sustainable approach to improving quality through quality management systems, which entails not only changing the production process, but also all its components. Such changes are vital for any company, as quality takes into account the ever-changing needs of consumers. Currently, one of the major challenges for Russian energy companies is the creation of an effective quality management system. One of the fundamental principles of quality management in general, and in the electric power industry in particular, is customer orientation. This process is necessary for any enterprise in the conditions of the modern competitive market. Customer satisfaction depends on the extent to which, in the opinion of the buyer, the quality meets his wishes and needs and meets its purpose. Therefore, when solving the problems of ensuring the quality and reliability of electricity supply, electric power companies solve the problems of meeting the requirements of stakeholders: shareholders, consumers, staff and society as a whole in the reliable supply of electricity of the required parameters with minimal loads on natural resources.
