Foreign economic potential of a region: definition, structure and methods of assessment

In this article the modern approaches to assessment of the external economic capacity of the region which allow to determine the rating of the regions of the Russian Federation in the sphere of foreign economic activity are researched. The author defines a role of the foreign economic potential in effective development of the region.
