Xi Jinping's foreign policy ideas and their value and ideological basis

The article characterizes the value-ideological basis and the historical context of the emergence and development of Xi Jinping’s foreign policy ideas. It is demonstrated that they are based on the application of historical and dialectical materialism of Marxist theory and, at the same time, on Chinese traditional political culture, preserve continuity, incorporating the best of the previous experience of the country's development, but also contain innovations that correspond to the current stage of life in China and the external and internal challenges it faces. Xi Jinping’s foreign policy ideas are not only an important component of his concept of socialism with Chinese specifics, but also a guide to action in a new era. It is concluded that in the context of an unstable international situation and the persistence of domestic problems, the diplomatic initiatives of China’s leader place the country in the position of a key global actor with the prospects of strengthening this position.
