Foreign policy of prince Oleg in 907 and 911

This article analyzes the first agreements of Ancient Russia with other states known to us, namely, the agreements of Prince Oleg with Byzantium in 907 and 911. The current geopolitical situation in the world tells us about the colossal importance of Russia in the international arena. At the global level, no event takes place without the participation of Russia. After the Cold War and a new round of aggravation of contradictions between the two great powers of the United States and Russia, diplomatic relations with other states began to play a key role for our country. The relevance of this topic is that we can trace how, at the initial stage of the formation of the state, diplomatic relations with other great powers were built, and how diplomatic traditions were formed. The novelty of the topic is the definition of agreements with Byzantium, not only as a historical fact, but also as a key event in the reign of Prince Oleg, which influenced the further development of Russia.
