The paper is devoted to the main features of censorship of non-Russian books and brochures published in Russia before 1917. The author analyzes geography of their edition, and typographic rules. He focuses on the censorial bodies which allowed publication of non-Russian texts, and on the practice of restrictions on use of some fonts and adverbs in book printing.
