Internal migration as a causal determinant of precariat formation

Based on the unity of methods of logical, historical, comparative analysis and data from sociological research, the article examines the impact of the internal migration phenomenon on such a specific socio-cultural phenomenon as precarity in modern Russian society. The authors substantiate the thesis that the degradation of key sectors of Russia's economy, which has caused changes in the habitual way of life of fellow citizens, has generated ontological and anthropological uncertainty of social being, which is expressed in a sharp reduction of jobs, impossibility of employment, and low efficiency of socio-economic organization. Under the prevailing conditions, a significant part of Russians are forced to perform their labor functions without the right to fixed, regular and secure employment, which, in turn, has given rise to such a phenomenon and, consequently, to a new social group as the precariat.
