The article deals with the peculiarities of the presentation of the virtual space in the creative works of the modern English science fiction writers. The author underlines such general features as the presentation of the limitation, the illusive nature of the virtual space and its dependence on the real world in the considered works of R. Sawyer, V. Vinge, T. Chiang and G. Egan.
