Intraregional and interregional migration of the population of the Altai region

This article substantiates the importance of migration processes in the modern economic system. The indicator of migration growth of the Russian Federation over the past five years is considered. The results of the analysis of migration processes of the Siberian Federal District in the context of interregional movements based on official statistics are presented. The most attractive regions for migration, such as Krasnoyarsk Krai and Novosibirsk Oblast, are highlighted. Regions with a negative indicator of migration growth are highlighted. It can be noted that most of the regions included in the Siberian Federal District are not attractive to the population. The results of the analysis of interregional and intraregional migration processes of the Altai Territory are presented. General trends of migration processes in the region are determined. The socio-economic effect of migration is assessed. The results of the analysis of migration processes of the Altai Territory show migration losses of the population, which indicates dissatisfaction of the region’s residents with living and working conditions.
