Water erosions in Selenginskiy Midland

Exposure of water erosion was noted at the beginning of last century. The widespread effects of water erosion are directly connected with the beginning of virgin and fallow lands recovery in the territory of the Republic of Buryatia. They led to the widespread expansion of arable land, located on the slope lands, dominated by deposits of light granulometric rock-forming composition and extreme continental climate, where the majority of annual precipitation is falling in July-August months primarily with of storm with heavy rains nature.
