The military policy of the North Caucasian imamate in the Crimean war 1853-1856

The article highlights an attempt to organize the military strategic policy of the North Caucasian Imamat against the governorship of the Russian Empire in the Caucasus in 1853-1856. The author pays a particular attention to the phenomenon of highlanders’ resistance in the North Caucasus in the context of Russia's war against the Turks and their British and French allies in Crimea and Transcaucasia.
