A warrior's burial of the early joujan period in the Stepushka I burial-ground in the Central Altai

Results are published from the chronological study of materials relating to the Bulan-Koba culture from kurgan 19 in the Stepushka I burial-ground excavated in 2010 in the Ongudai District (the Republic of Altai). Investigation of the grave goods made it possible to date the assemblage to the late 4 th or the early 5 th century. The relative chronology was confirmed by radiocarbon analysis of specially selected samples. This burial-mound can be regarded as one of the main sites from the Early Joujan period in the territory of the Central Altai.
