War and the churn politics in the period of 1939-1945)

The author of the article, understanding the dual nature of political ideology, reveals the particular qualities of the church policy of the right wing of the CPSU (b) during the Second World War. The article proves that this policy reflected the desire of the Stalinist group to resuscitate elements of the autocratic-conciliar (self-preserving collegiate) model of governance and organization of the Russian Orthodox Church as an integral part of the Soviet regime and its ally in the fight against Nazi aggression. The success of this policy ensured the victory of the USSR in 1945.
