The question of reuniting Crimea with Russia in Iranian political discourse

The problem of reunification of Crimea with Russia was not the subject of considerable discussion in Iranian political discourse. Iranian ruling elite have warily embraced this question, never having made any comments on it. At first, the main Iranian mass media provided only information, and then some of them conducted analysis of lessons that Iran could learn from the Russian policy toward Crimea and its conflict with the Western world. The scientific community, for the most part, has also disregarded the Crimean issue. Rare articles and interviews demonstrate negative comments on integration of Crimea into Russia.
