The questioning in science and in philosophy

The article focuses on the problem of philosophy definition through its comparison with other forms of knowledge. It is noted that one of the specific features of philosophy is questioning. Questioning is understood as the existence of uncertainty in knowledge. The author analyzes the features of the questioning procedures in scientific research and in philosophy. In science the process of problem solutions and search of answers to the question under consideration plays a key role. One of specific features of philosophy is the existence of unsolvable questions. In the context of history of philosophy the author shows dependency of questions and answers on a particular cultural and historical situation. It is emphasized that philosophical approaches to science allow to analyze the changes of scientific paradigms and to recognize changeability of scientific knowledge. The author makes conclusions related to the role of philosophy in formulating problems in other forms of knowledge and possibility to go beyond the frame of paradigms limiting thinking.
