Polymorphism of genes encoding enzymes of biotransformation of narcotic analgesics may lead to individual differences in the analgesic pharmacological response in patients with pain syndrome. Therefore, the process of identifying differences in the genetic structure or genotype of a person by studying his DNA sequence allows us to assess the potential of each individual patient's body without evaluating dynamically changing phenotypic capabilities under the influence of metabolic enzymes that determine modification variability. When carrying out genotyping of opioid biotransformation enzymes using modern diagnostic methods, it is necessary to take into account the effect on their effectiveness of concomitant therapy, which can be an inducer or inhibitor of metabolic transformations in patients with forced polypragmasia, as well as indicate the safety of prescribed drug therapy.
