Issues of local importance in the survey sphere safe living conditions

The types and content of issues of local importance are investigated, which are obliged to solve local authorities in the field of ensuring safe living conditions for residents of municipalities. The position is substantiated that in the current legislation (Federal Law "On the General Principles of Organization of Local Self-Government in the Russian Federation") there is an excessive amount of relevant functions assigned to local self-government. It is proposed to leave only three issues of local importance related to: a) protection of the population from emergencies, b) provision of primary fire safety measures, and c) ensuring the safety of people at water bodies.
