Methodology issues in legal studies on civil law securities' Theories

The paper considers significance of methodology foundations in academic studies in law. Works of classical and contemporary writers evidence for the grasp of methodology tools, with positive and negative examples of their application given. The study substantiated the using of both basic procedural tools and new ones while developing the civil law theory on securities.
