The article presents the result of studying the list of problematic aspects of an unfinished crime, highlighted in the scientific works of representatives of the Ural school of criminal law. Legal scholars have considered the issues of unfinished crimes in the author's recommendations on their qualification, as well as in the study of problems of complicity or difficulties in assessing specific acts, responsibility for which is provided for in a Special part of the criminal law. There are separate scientific papers devoted to the institute of unfinished crime. One of the first such publications was an article published in 1954 by the founder of the Ural school of Criminal Law, M. I. Kovalev, in the journal Socialist Legality, on the pages of which Mitrofan Ivanovich discussed in absentia with Professor A. N. Trainin about certain issues of an unfinished crime. All the problems that have ever been the subject of research by scientists of the Ural School of Criminal Law still cause active discussions. The prepared scientific papers can become the basis for further theoretical research.
