Psychological support of graduate students in the context of the development of intellectual potential of territories

The problem of development of intellectual potential of territories is important for the Russian society. Modern scientific and educational space has many technologies, developments and new practical solutions that should be popularized among young scientists. In this regard, the comprehensive formation of highly qualified personnel in the region is coming to the fore. This article presents the experience of psychological support of graduate students studying at the graduate school under the Institute of Socio-Economic Development of Territories of Russian Academy of Science. The article substantiates the urgency of problem and highlights the main directions of work of the team of specialists of psycho-pedagogical support at ISEDT RAS Research-and-Education Center, its purpose and goals. The authors also show the importance of this activity in research and in the personal development of young scientists. The article contains a classification of diagnostic studies carried out at the Center, gives examples of developmental education classes. The authors show that the holistic approach to the development of professional status of a graduate student plays an important role in the development of intellectual potential of territories. The study identifies key criteria of effective work to promote social and emotional well-being of young scientists, provides information about the results of this activity at ISEDT RAS Research-and-Education Center; the authors conclude that the development of intellectual potential of territories depends not only on the professional achievements of scientists, but also on their personal characteristics.
