The issues of management of jade industry's development in the Republic of Buryatia

This article discusses the problems of geological studying, exploration, production and use of jade. It allocates and describes characteristics of this type of mineral. There is a comparison of the global jade market, which highlights the role of Russia. The mineral resources, dynamics of nephrite production in the Republic of Buryatia are characterized in the work. The authors consider financing and the main results of geological studying of nephrite for 2006-2015; special attention is paid to the problem of reproduction of nephrite resources. They also note difficulties of the organization of deep conversion of liquid jade raw materials in Buryatia. The regulatory base of the Republic of Buryatia in a jade industry is researched in the paper. It analyzes the problems of enforcement in the regulation of relations in the sphere of provision of rights of jade subsoil usage. In the conclusion, the authors make suggestions on development of the jade industry of Buryatia’s economy.
