This article provides a brief overview of the state of the Voronezh Diocese at the beginning of the 20th century (1901–1917). The main directions of diocesan life are considered: episcopal ministry, the composition and main characteristics of the clergy of the diocese, theological education and public enlightenment, missionary activity, church charity. A brief analysis of the main trends in the development of the diocese during this period is carried out. Special attention is paid to the life of the theological seminary and the most significant personalities of this period among the teaching staff of the theological school.
