The article is devoted to the analysis of approaches and methods of development of reading skills of the child as a basis for personal development. It examines the influence of the family, pre-school educational institutions and the library as a basis for an integrated approach. The author reveals the results of the research conducted in the framework of the program for the development of readers ' interest in preschool children. The author demonstrates a deep knowledge of the material and an innovative approach to the development of children's reading.
