In modern Russia, the issues of patriotic education is given special attention, as evidenced by the state program "Patriotic Education of Citizens of the Russian Federation in the years 2016-2020", approved by Resolution of the Russian Government dated 30 December 2015 № 1493. Unfortunately, not all educational institutions and sports schools give priority task of educating generations of teenagers who love their homeland. The article presents a list of educational institutions, subordinated to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, contributing to the formation of patriotism in the minds of the younger generation. The study of the concept of "patriotism" in the various epochs of our state.
