Educational function of Chinese anthroponyms

This article analyzes Chinese proper names in terms of their educational function. Anthroponyms are analyzed as elements of Chinese language and culture, performing, on the one hand, an important educational role for Chinese themselves as a bridge between generations, and, on the other hand, for foreign students studying Chinese language, as a means of personal exposure to Chinese culture.
