The article reviews the research results obtained in the course of study of how the educational environment in high and higher schools influences the professional and personal self-determination of future teachers. The author presents a model of the educational environment, describes its structure, parameters, participants, and evaluation criteria of its impact on the personal and professional development: a professional identity type, a way of activities self-organization, and a level of existential fulfillment of a person.
