Educational component of extracurricular education for children

The article reveals the role of the educational component in the structure of extracurricular education for children. The educational process of children's and youth sports is represented by two main directions: educational and training activities and competitive activities, which perform an important function in shaping the character and worldview of young athletes. Based on modern practices in children's and youth sports and professional standards, the main tasks aimed at the development and education of young athletes are identified, which are part of the structure of professional competencies of coach-instructors. The article also notes that education should be considered not only as a task for coaches, but also as a priority component of the educational process as a whole.
