Reproductive qualities and milk production of Zaanen goats of domestic and imported origin

This article presents the results of studies of reproductive qualities of goats of different selection and origin. The importance of the issue under discussion is closely related to the economy of the farm. Therefore, Nadezhdensky LLC of the Shpakovsky District of Stavropol Krai pays special attention to this problem. Reproduction also affects the rate of herd increase, reveals the genetic potential of the breed associated with productivity and adaptability to environmental conditions. It was found that the best fertilization was distinguished by female goats of own reproduction (96.7%), which is 6.7 and 3.4 absolute percent more than peers of Dutch and Austrian selection. Kids from animals of own reproduction were noted to be more survivable by 4 months of age, respectively, by 6.4 absolute percent and 2.9 absolute percent. Milk production of female goats of own breeding for 305 days of lactation was higher compared to peers of Dutch and Austrian selection by 15.1% and 5.6%, respectively.
